Title insurance office funnies…….

Some days we just need a good laugh!

Where is my “title”???

haha property guidingJust the other day, we received a call from an old client of ours that we did a closing on back in 2010. Her question to us was, “I have yet to receive the title to my home, and can you send me it?” Now hearing this, we asked if she had her owner’s policy and deed to her home. Her response was yes, but no title. We then went on to explain to her that a title to a home is not like a title to a car and that her owner’s policy was the “title” and warranty deed was the official transfer. After about an hour of re-explaining again and again, we think she finally got it!

How do I print? I can’t read it upside down.

When we send over attachments that need to be printed out, it is a guarantee that we will get a call at least 1 out of 10 times. The usual problems are as follows:

  • Don’t know how to open the attachment or can’t locate it within the email
  • I can’t print it legal because my printer only prints letter size
  • I can’t read it because the print is too small on my monitor screen
  • It sideways, can you resend it straight.

All of these are issues that can be resolved on your end. As for how to open or locate the attachment, well that depends on what email service you are using. As for your printer not printing legal, it does, you just have to put in legal size paper. Can’t see what it says on your screen, there is a zoom button that you can use. As for it being sideways, that is how your program opened it, find the edit button, and then click on rotate until it is right side up.

And here, all this time I thought title insurance was boring.  Silly me!
